The Department of Computer Studies was established to provide quality and equitable education through relevant instruction, research and extension services with sustainable leadership in the fields of information technology and computer science towards the development of globally competent and morally upright individuals.

 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES of BSCS Program
The BSCS program aims to produce graduate who can:
- 1.  apply knowledge of theories, algorithmic foundations, implementation and application of information and computing solutions to the practice of computer science;
- 2.  conduct system analysis, perform design and development of computing solutions;
- 3.  conduct relevant researches and development activities in the field of computer science;
- 4.  promote the development and transfer of appropriate computer science technology;
- 5.  promote environmental preservation and protection on projects and enterprises related to computer science; and
- 6.  become morally upright IT professionals with entry-level competencies.

Program Description of BSCS
          The BS computer Science program includes the study of computing concepts and theories, algorithmic foundations and new development in computing. The program prepares students to design and create algorithmically complex software and develop new and effective algorithms for solving computing problems.
           The program also includes the study of the standards and practices in Software Engineering. It prepares students to acquire skills and disciplines required for designing, writing and modifying software components, modules and applications that comprise software solutions.

Program Description of BSINFOTECH
         The BS Information Technology program includes the study of the utilization of both hardware and software technologies involving planning, installing, customizing, operating, managing and administering, and maintaining information technology infrastructure that provides computing solutions to address the needs of an organization.
          The program prepares graduates to address various user needs involving the selection, development, application, integration and management of computing technologies within an organization

          The BSCS and BSIT graduates are expected to become globally competent, innovative, and socially and ethically responsible computing professionals engaged in life-long, learning endeavors. They are capable of contributing to the country’s national development goals.
