In support to the prevention, control and mitigation measures on the spread of the 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV), Cavite State University encourages everyone to obtain and disseminate reliable information taken from the official websites of the Department of Health and World Health Organization.
As bearers of truth, students, faculty and staff are advised to stop spreading false information from the social media and other platforms, but instead rely on valid and accurate information released from the official platforms handled by DOH and WHO.
Also, it is also important that anyone who is experiencing symptoms like fever, cough and shortness of breath should contact a doctor immediately. The University Health Services, headed by Dr. Romeo M. Sanchez, may be consulted for further health expert advice. The University Infirmary is open to provide such services. Moreover, students, faculty and staff experiencing anxiety over 2019-nCoV outbreak may approach Ms. Gilian Joan M. Hernandez, Guidance Counselor. To further increase awareness, health advisories from DOH are also printed and posted on an information bulletin located at the Administration Building. It is advised that such materials be also published in the boards of the colleges/campus/units for wider dissemination. Such materials were also posted on CvSU’s Official Facebook Page and we encouraged to share them in social media to further increase awareness on the said issue.
